Risk assessment
Everything we do can be seen as an outward expression of our risk control and abatement processes. In any given machine there are some 35,000 risks that need identification and control.

Machine upgrades and life extension
With the 2004 mining and commodities boom, machine owners sought to increase capacity quickly and efficiently with minimal capital investment. With our experience, we are ideally placed to help. In many cases a machine’s performance can be improved through a few minor alterations, or its operational life extended.
When feasible, life extension can be a cost effective alternative to replacing a machine. We will analyse a machine’s current state, identify potential upgrades, predict component life and design structural and mechanical upgrades consistent with your objectives. We have completed more than 20 such upgrades of major machines for clients in Australia and overseas.
In compliance with AS4324.1, Mayer specialises in upgrades of machines to correct design deficiencies and problems, and ensure compliance with current standards. The process delivers improved safety, extended life for both structure and machinery, verification of conformance with specifications and identifies potential operational risks.
