SENIOR ENGINEER - Ref: STL-2010-002
We are currently seeking experienced ENGINEER to join our design team in our head office in North Shore. From a strong mechanical/structural engineering background and with mining experience you will be responsible for leading 3-5 engineering team and consulting with clients on major mining and materials handling projects. Successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
Essential skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Structural Engineering
- Work experience :
- 10-15yrs in mining industry
- exposure to material processing plant operations or maintenance
- knowledge of relevant Australian and International Standards
- with personal acumen, good with people and easily build rapport
Preferable skills:
- Self driven
- Flexible approach to working
- Advanced computer skills

Day to day activities:
- Liasing with sales team and with developing potential client base
- Acting as Mayer's technical expert to the mine and port industry
- Understanding customers' needs
- Developing potential solutions
- Proposing concept design
- Assist sales team in developing project costing/tender preparation
